Winter blues? Say goodbye.

Winter blues? I know I have them. There were times in my life (back in the 90s) where I was guilty of heading to a tanning booth to just feel the warmth and get that glow we all desperately wanted. There was also a time when my doctor told me to get a face lamp so I can get some melatonin (like what?!). Both of these options I am not a fan of.

I think I can speak for a lot of people here in lil Rhody and say enough Mother Nature. Enough. Snow-over it. Cold- double over it. Pasty, pale skin- we need a new word for over it. I just want to feel the sunshine and have a glow on my skin.

So here’s where my next and newest obsession comes into play. Two words ~ Spray. Tan. Yes!!! I’m serious. Knowing that I can get that ‘glow’ and emotionally feel good, I’m all for it. For awhile, a couple of girls I know kept posting they were at this place, Glistening Goddesses. I would like their posts and ask questions, but never jumped at the opportunity to try this place out….until today!

I woke up this morning like a kid on Christmas. I couldn’t wait for my appointment and to see what this whole experience was going to be like. The minute I walked in, I completely felt comfortable. It’s so girly inside and right up my alley. There are all these quotes on the walls and the color scheme are my favorite colors, pink and black, it was like it was built for me.

Cassandra, owner and spray tan connoisseur, is simply the best that is out there! She is bubbly, friendly and welcoming. From the minute you step in until you leave, you will love her. She makes you feel very comfortable, especially if it’s your first spray tan experience (which for me it was).

For those that don’t know, make sure you read the spray tan tips beforehand. It’s not a lot of work but there are good things to know ahead of time. Also, it is up to you with how you would like to be ‘dressed’ when getting your spray on. She will explain this to you when you’re there. All I know is I was comfortable enough to have as little tan lines as possible.

Once she was done spraying and I was standing in front of the fan drying, I already felt different. I can’t explain it. Knowing that I’ll have this glow, made me psychologically feel better. Silly, I know. But hey, I’ll take what I can get during these cold, brutal, long winter months.

If you’ve ever thought of getting a spray tan and was worried about looking orange, have no fear, this will not happen at Glistening Goddesses. She knows her colors and will make you look and feel amazing!

I can’t wait to take my ‘initial’ shower tomorrow and see the final product. I’m already satisfied with how it’s coming along, but there is more in store.
