It was my week of vacation and I couldn’t wait for Friday to finally arrive! I had it all planned out. Hair at 9:30, make-up by 11:00 and then be at the studio for 1:30 p.m. Sounds easy enough right!? Well, if you know me at all, you would know that it would be WAY too easy for things to go as smoothly as I would like! The night before arrives, I go to bed early in preparation for my “beauty” sleep, the sleep that we all love to get sometimes, and I was ready for tomorrow to come.
The alarm goes off, I’m refreshed and ready to go, and what do you know? It’s pouring rain outside!! Not just a nice little rainy day. It was a monsoon!!! Great, I think to myself, this is exactly what I needed today for my photo shoot! haha I arrive at my hair, get done a little early and realize I left one of my pieces I needed at home. So I rush home to get the piece and I was finally on my way to get my makeup done. I get there just in time to suddenly realize I left another piece at home! You’ve got to be kidding me I thought to myself! Thank god I was in Nordstrom getting my makeup done because I all I had to do was easily run upstairs to buy the piece I needed, which clearly I did. A girl cannot go to a shoot with her staple item missing! With my makeup beautifully done, I thought to myself, I’m complete and ready to go.
Driving on I-95 couldn’t have been anymore difficult if I had tried. But I knew, I was gonna get there no matter what, and I knew I had plenty of time to get there. One hour later I arrive at the red brick building. Just from the outside, I could tell this building had character and boy did it. I climb up 3 flights of stairs, not easy to do when you’re carrying a ton of clothes along with a duffel bag and umbrella, and finally arrive at her door ~Rachel Kate Photography. A feeling of excitement had come over me~I was here!!
Have you ever had that feeling like you’ve known someone since forever, but this is actually the first time you’re meeting them?? That was exactly what my moment felt like. I walked into the studio and was greeted by someone who I felt like I had known for years! Someone that was just like me! I automatically felt comfortable and I was ready to get started and have some fun.
Rachel is the type of photographer that can make any woman feel beautiful, sexy and confident inside and out. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to have been taking my pictures. She knew exactly what I was looking for and thinking of. Not to mention, she loves miss Britney Spears like myself. (She’s a girl after my own heart.) We did love and have fun singing away to our favorite songs all day! In a nutshell, we just clicked and it was great. She is passionate about what she does and it shows.
If you ever need to have photos taken for a special occasion or if you’re in the mood to have some fun, I highly suggest everyone gets a photo shoot done at one point in their life or another, this is the girl for you. Every girl should feel comfortable in their own skin and show it off and this is a great way to do it. Have a little fun and just go with it and you will be amazed with the ending. You’ll be thinking, “Whoa! Who’s that sexy girl?!” I know I was!! And there is nothing better in this world than to feel sexy and beautiful about yourself.
